We would like to invite you to the 2010 SHELTON REUNION. This event is for the descendents of William and Hannah (Yates) Shelton. The family of William and Hannah originates in Virginia in the 1700s. Their descendents removed to Kentucky and later to Illinois, some settling in Wayne county.
The Reunion will be held in Fairfield, Illinois at Leo French Park on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:30 AM. Please bring a covered dish, casserole, dessert, soda/tea OR something we can all enjoy as this is a picnic. If you live close to the area, please bring a lawnchair and (if you are albe) an extra one for someone who has traveled far.
We are expecting many Shelton descendents who are interested in genealogy. If you have old photos, Shelton memorabilia or just some great stories, we hope you will share them.
There is a great museum in Fairfield with a room dedicated to some of the Shelton Family and everyone is encouraged to see it on Sat or Sun.
Please feel free to share your throughts and comments here - or just introduce yourself and tel us how you fit in to the Shelton family. Updates will be posted frequently so be sure to check back over the summer. We are looking forward to seeing you all - many for the first time!
